The fish is hot and fresh - made while you wait. I got onion rings instead of fries and they were so sweet snd super crunchy.
The food here is pretty impressive for a tiny spot. The service is typical counter fast casual style but the staff is extremely friendly. The portions are insane super big filets. We had the 8 pc family meal and fried zucchini. We were super full with leftovers. Definitely the best Fish and chips in town! Definitely recommend this place.
Cozy little local fish and chips spot. The only one worthwhile going to in Elk Grove, but I can really only speak for their main appeal, the Alaskan paddock (?). My friend got some chicken strips too which were good, and their chips are up to par. The building itself is quite quaint, don't expect too much. I'm British if it helps give the stamp of approval, it's good you should go.
Ocean Fish & Chips is the go to restaurant in Elk Grove for... well... Fish & Chips. My family has been going there for over a decade because of their consistency and excellence. We've always ordered the Fish, Prawns, Calamari, Hush Puppies, Coleslaw, and Fries. They include Tartar sauce and it's usually enough for dipping. Their seafood always tastes fantastic with a crunch in every bite and the oil is not old nor runny. Phone orders are usually ready within 10-15 minutes outside of Lent (Christian Fasting on Fridays before Easter) else good luck, you'll need to place your order over an hour in advance during Lent. Not many people eat at the restaurant, it's more of a To Go place so don't expect to eat there holding a beer. Parking can be a hassle. As for ambience... it's pretty much a kitchen with seats available for waiting. I do not recommend ordering the fries here. Go somewhere else.
